Client Solution Director (aka Sales Ninja)

We are looking for a truly exceptional individual to run point for our outside sales. You’ll be responsible for finding and developing a consistent pipeline of opportunities that will knock our monthly sales goals out of the park and handsomely line your pockets. In bringing those opportunities home you’ll be working closely with our engineering team to figure out client needs, educate clients who are often unaware of the challenges they face, and provide solutions as a trusted advisor who earns client loyalty.

We run the best and largest such data center in Orange County with over 110,000 sq. ft., where companies host their computers and rely on us to guarantee that their equipment remains secure and online, even if an asteroid strikes. Not to mention our connections to the internet are smokin’ fast.

You’ll work under the direction of our CEO, a creative yet analytical guy on a mission to make a difference with more ideas than he can possibly accomplish on his own. Fortunately he relies on his team to help refine those ideas and make them all happen. Well, at least the good ideas; he’s open to constructive criticism and enjoys a spirited debate. He’s also the hardest working guy in the office and meticulous, setting a high bar, but he’ll do everything he can to help you soar over it.

The challenge:

  • Lead Generation and Pipeline Management – Responsible for creatively developing leads, qualifying opportunities, and documenting the opportunity/sales process in our CRM system to manage your pipeline.
  • Solution Development – Responsible for identifying client needs and vulnerabilities, educating clients who are venturing into uncharted territory, and working with our engineering team to develop solutions to any challenge.
  • Proposal / RFP Preparation – Responsible for managing the RFP process and preparing the final response. Our engineering team will assist with technical details, but you’ll be responsible for pre-bid meetings, phone conferences, sourcing partners for out of scope requirements, etc.
  • Bringing Home the Bacon – Responsible for touring clients through our facility and closing the deal!
  • Post Sales Activities – Responsible for coordination between clients and our engineering team to facilitate move-in, and participation in a post-move review to compare expectations to the delivered results.
  • Event Participation – Responsible for participating in the planning and execution of various marketing activities.  Roles may include actively driving event attendance, giving presentations, and general networking activities.

Qualifications we feel are important:

  • 3-5 years experience in sales, focused on solution or strategic selling.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of technology.
  • Strong listening skills, with a keen ability to understand client needs and equate them to our solutions.
  • Ability to clearly articulate key points and compel action through written and verbal communication.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to follow through, keeping your eye on the ball.
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to craft compelling business cases.
  • Bachelor’s degree or other challenging experience of at least four years that you persisted through.
  • Located in Orange County or Los Angeles. Sorry, no relocation available.
